Ever since its foundation in 1952, the assistance of trade and investments was complemented by the aim to promote "the highest standards of ethical conduct", later specified in the wordings of "respect for social and environmental sustainability".
Among the ways to concretize these goals is the organization of Trade Award competitions, open to member- and non-member companies from any origin and nationality, as long as they obtained a merit in trade or investment between Brazil and The Netherlands, observing the above.
Over the last years, awards were handed to the following companies:
o Norit do Brazil LTDA, for its commercial success in Brazil with the development and installation of innovative high-tech industrial water filtering systems.
o Mammoet Irga Guindastes do Brasil LTDA part of the SHV-Group, for its spectacular heavy lifting and transport solutions provided to Brazilian clients.
o Arcadis Logos Group of Companies, for its achievements in the construction of production plants for gas from urban waste on three Brazilian locations.
o Embraer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A., for the sale of EM190 airplanes to AirFrance-KLM replacing Fokker aircraft at KLM City-hoppers.
o Unilever, for their far going and internationally recognized sustainability program as applied in Brazil, also for the roll-out of that program to all suppliers.
o DAF Trucks, for the building of their new production facility in the State of Paraná, which will employ a considerable number of people.
